Sons of the American Revolution recognize Harrisonburg PBS station

Harrisonburg - On October 1, 2009, WVPT Public Television was honored to receive a commendation from the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution in recognition for exemplary patriotism in the display of the flag of the United States of America.  Each year, the Harrisonburg Chapter of the society awards a select few organizations with this prestigious honor. Dr. Christopher N. Sheap, Flag Chairman, presented the award to David Mullins, WVPT General Manager. After the presentation, Mr. Mullins stated that this award means a great deal to the station and it’s employees. “WVPT is proud to have been recognized for this honor. One of the core values of WVPT’s mission involves Citizenship, and I can’t think of anything that better exemplifies this more than receiving this award”
