HARRISONBURG, THEN AND NOW
(Mar. 1999)
Running Time: 60 minutes
In this special, Harrisonburg's past is re-told by the people who lived it and remember it. It is a scrapbook of sorts, a look at what the city was and what it has become. Residents and local historians share their photographs and their memories to help paint a portrait of Harrisonburg from the 1920s to the present. The early days of the all-female James Madison University, the founding of Rockingham Memorial Hospital, and other notable events are explored.
